LONG-EZ LYCOMING EXHAUST SYSTEM
(From CP25, Page 7, July, 1980)
The adjacent drawings show the system now being tested on N79RA. This system is very similar to the original one which we welded up ourselves, with the addition of a "ball" joint on each stack to take care of vibration. It is working well so far, and looks like the way to go. This system is made and sold by Ken Brock, and can also be used on Lycoming powered VariEzes.
Note: Lycoming flanges and tube sizes are shown. If you have Continental engine, refer to Section IIA and build a similar exhaust system to exit the lower cowling just below the trailing edge at B.L. 19.5". A continental version is not available from Ken Brock at this time.
